Barcelona holds a special place in my heart as it is where I first experimented with an SLR camera. I still have images of Gaudi’s Pedrera chimneys on the wall at home. For years I have been keen to get back there and photograph some more.
Anyone who has been to Barcelona will know that there is SO much to do there – you really do have to focus in on some favourite places.
I found a few themes occurring and attracting me whilst I was there: tourists interacting with the city, street perfromers and of course my age old obsession with reflections (I find it fascinating that we often see so much of a place through reflections, often without realising)
I’ve used a variety of styles throughout the post and would love to hear which you like best.

I loved the way street performers were ever present, even when they weren’t working…

My new favourite place in Barcelon – the Pedrables Monastery. Very serene – especially in a thunder storm it seemed!
A few shots of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. I hope to dedicate a post to Gaudi’s chimneys soon…

And to finish off, a shot of the “Dancing fountains” – unexpectedly breathtaking…
