Sitting Babies

The truly scrumptious baby phase

The tummy rolls, the smiles and their very own personality

The sitting stage was definitely my favourite baby development stage with both my children. The smiles and giggles come, a little bit of independence but a lot of cuddles, but most of all, their personality starts to shine through. This is the age I remember with a tear in my eye, and I just so wish I could press pause on this stage!

I absolutely love photographing sitting babies as we get lots of eye contact and smiles and it is fun exploring their likes and dislikes!

Shoots should ideally be booked at a time when your baby is sitting unaided confidently but not yet crawling. This can be a small window for some babies! (My daughter happily sat for a few months before trying to crawl, my son gave me two weeks until he was on the move!) The best thing to do is contact me as soon as your child is starting to sit.

Shoots take place in my home studio in Gidea Park. Sitting sessions last 1-2 hours. As always, sessions are baby led with time for feeds and snacks if required.

We will discuss the best start time for the shoot to ensure your baby has had a nap and is at their best!

The studio is designed with babies and their parents in mind… with a changing table for baby and a comfy sofa for you!

The sitting shoot is a great time to get a family portrait with mum and dad and any siblings. It’s always lovely to see a baby interact with their big brother or sister.

A range of luxury prints, wall art, albums and desk presentation products are available you can look at the range here and also request a full product brochure before booking.

Session fees are £95 midweek or £125 for weekend. (Weekends are usually booked out with other shoots though)

Your session fee includes:

– My time to select and edit your images, preparing a gallery of images for you to select from.
